These terms cover two things: using the GuildSelect website, and GuildSelect membership.
GuildSelect is an invite-only directory of the best-reviewed independent contractors, starting in Tampa, Florida. Reputation is the only credential. A contractor is listed only if they have been invited and have agreed. GuildSelect is operated by Lumatic Labs LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Pl NE Ste R, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA.
The Guild Standard.
To be invited, a business must meet three tests, taken from public information: a high Google rating, a substantial body of verified Google reviews, and an established track record. The current tests are published on the Guild Standard page. We use Google ratings only, never ratings from other directories. The Standard is a factual threshold. It is not a guarantee of the quality, safety or price of any work, and we do not inspect or supervise the work of anyone listed.
Accuracy. Profiles are written from public information and from what members tell us. We take care over them, but we cannot promise that every detail is current at every moment. Ratings and review counts are shown as they stood when we last checked them.
Corrections and reports. If something is wrong, out of date or should not be there, write to [email protected]. We will look at it promptly and act within 24 hours where a profile needs to come down.
Your use of the site. Please use the site lawfully. Do not copy profiles in bulk, scrape the directory, or use it to send unsolicited marketing to those listed. When you hire someone you hire them, not us: agree the work, price and guarantees with them directly. GuildSelect is not a party to that contract.
A GuildSelect profile is free. In return, we ask for one thing: that you show the GuildSelect seal on your own website. We give you the code. You paste it once, as it is. By saying "Yes" to your invitation, you agree to this section.
The seal is a small image that links to your own profile on GuildSelect. We do not ask you to use particular words, put it on a particular page, or add anything to the code — and the code contains no script, no cookie and nothing that watches your visitors. Do not edit it so the link or the seal is removed, hidden or altered; put it where visitors can see it. If you have no website, tell us and we will agree another public place instead.
If the seal is missing, we will write to you and give you 14 days to put it right — we are glad to place it with you. If it is still missing after 14 days, we may remove your profile from the directory. Removal is the only step we take: no fine, no charge. If you put the seal back, we restore your profile, and your member number stays yours. You can also ask us to remove your profile at any time, for any reason; if you do, you no longer need to show the seal.
Membership is optional, and it is for businesses that have been invited, have agreed to be listed, and choose to join. What it includes, how the founding classes work, and the current prices are on the membership page — we keep prices there, not here, so this page stays clean.
Monthly membership can be cancelled any time in your dashboard, with no phone calls and no retention tactics. Your profile returns to the free listing; it is not removed. We never charge per enquiry, and we take no commission on jobs you win.
Membership does not buy a place on the directory, and it never will: every member met the Guild Standard before their invitation. Fees pay for our editorial team and the platform, nothing else.
GuildSelect is a directory, not a contractor, an insurer or a regulator. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the work, conduct, prices or promises of any business listed, and not for any loss that comes from relying on the directory instead of your own checks. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Lumatic Labs LLC is organized.
